SVTS2000 – Coolant Barrier Pressure Tester

SVTS2000 – Coolant Barrier Pressure Tester

SVTS2000 Coolant Barrier Pressure Tester

• Change a cooling system component without draining the cooling system

• Uses shop air to create light vacuum that prevents coolant from draining as a component is changed

• Most profitable application is changing thermostats, temperature sensors or freeze plugs on large trucks; much of the new coolant can be saved

• Little operator skill required; the tool can do much more but there is a significant learning curve

Basic Instruction: Hook up the tool and open the valve. The tool puts the system under a light vacuum (as opposed to the SVTSRAD272A or SVTSRAD272U which pulls a deep vacuum.)  Leaving the air valve open, you can now slowly begin to remove the component you need to change. In some instances, such as with a hose, you need to give the tool a minute to sweep all of the coolant back into the system. Then, having the replacement part next to you, remove the old part and install the new one. Turn off the air and the system will fill back up.
